About Three Pits and a Lady
Three Pits And A Lady is a 501c3 animal welfare organization formed in Pickaway County. Located in Stoutsville, their sole mission is to assist with animal care when funds may not otherwise be available to ensure that pets receive the love and care they deserve. Three Pits And A Lady began in 2015, as the ambitious dream of Kim Shannon. Kim who personally rescued 3 pit bulls and adopted them as part of her own family, is completely immersed in ensuring that as many pets as
possible receive the support they so desperately need.
Among the numerous benefits that Three Pits And A Lady provide are:
-
Providing pet food, treats, and supplies for dogs and cats thru the 21 outdoor Community Cupboards in Pickaway County and thru The Circleville Church of Christ, as well as other outlets. These donations ensure that families struggling financially are able to provide healthy nutrition for their pets while providing a loving, healthy environment. Three Pits And A Lady provides tons of pet food annually to those in need in our county.
-
Aiding families to find care for their pets at affordable rates from veterinarians, groomers, pet boarders, etc...
-
Assisting financially with spaying and neutering of a pet, as well as vaccinations and immunizations.
-
Offsetting part of the medical expenses for dogs suffering from injuries or diseases. In the last 12 month alone Three Pits has donated more than $75,000 for medical expenses to families that would have possibly been forced to give up their beloved pets, or, potentially allow their pets to suffer and die.
Three Pits And A Lady is no small endeavor. It is a very viable, organized, single location pet support charity....planned, started, and managed by Stoutsville resident, Kim Shannon (with help from her Husband Eddie and an entire team of pet loving volunteers). Kim's dream is being fulfilled and
so are the needs of numerous pet owners.
This miracle of pet care is made possible by grants, donations, and numerous fund-raising activities by a dedicated team of volunteers along with the support of our community.
